1. Palm Drive sewer feasibility study presented The City of Desert Hot Springs presented a study of sewer infrastructure along the Palm Drive corridor, from 8th Street to 20th Avenue, intended to support housing and other development. The study divided the area into three zones. The north zone is already sewered; estimated improvements were $35 million for the central zone and $52 million for the south zone. A cost breakdown also displayed $21.7 million for added treatment capacity at the Nancy Wright facility. At full buildout, the study projected roughly 3.4 million gallons per day of additional average dry-weather flow and a near-doubling of treatment capacity needs. The board took no action on the study.
