1. GSP review and amendments: Summer input, then public review The Monterey Subbasin Groundwater Sustainability Plan five-year evaluation covers water years 2021–2025. Staff plans to bring draft amendments to the Salinas Valley Basin GSA board in August 2026, followed by a 90-day public comment period expected to run from September through November. Submission to the Department of Water Resources is planned after the January 2027 board meeting; an exact submission date was not announced. Both GSA boards will be involved in the amendment process; the Salinas Valley Basin GSA board is expected to consider final amendments in January. The committee expects to review different portions of the evaluation and proposed revisions in June, at a July special meeting yet to be scheduled, and in August. Committee input can also continue during the fall public review.
